Our partner university

University of South Florida

Dreamlight High School partners with colleges and universities so that its students get all the education possible to succeed. The University of South Florida facilitates access to college-level courses for every Dreamlight student who qualifies, free of charge.

What is dual enrollment?

Two credits for one course

Dual enrollment is a program that allows students to take college-level courses while still in high school. Each approved course counts toward your Dreamlight diploma and toward a college degree, so you graduate with a transcript that already includes university credits.

Courses are taken online alongside your regular plan of study. Your Dreamlight advisor helps you choose courses that fit your goals and keeps your workload realistic.

Why it matters

Five benefits of dual enrollment

1

Early exposure to college-level coursework

Discover the pace and expectations of university classes while you still have your Dreamlight teachers behind you.

2

Explore majors and career paths

Test a field of study before committing to a degree, and make a more confident choice of major.

3

Reduced college costs

Credits earned in high school are credits you will not pay for later. For qualified students, the courses are free.

4

More challenge and rigor

Add depth to your high school curriculum and stand out on college and scholarship applications.

5

A head start on your degree

Arrive at college with credits already earned, which can mean early graduation or a lighter course load.

How it works

Three steps to your first college credits

Dual enrollment is coordinated by Dreamlight admissions with the partner university. You never apply to the university on your own.

Step 1

Talk to admissions

Tell us your grade level, GPA and goals. Admissions confirms your eligibility and explains the options.

Step 2

Get approved and choose courses

Your advisor adds approved college courses to your plan of study and coordinates registration with the university.

Step 3

Earn both credits

Complete the course online. The credit is recorded on your Dreamlight transcript and on your university record.

What it costs

College courses taken through the partnership are free for qualified students. Your regular Dreamlight tuition and the $50 application fee still apply. See our tuition and payment plans for details.
