Our story
A not-for-profit virtual school founded in 2017 in Apopka, Florida, on one conviction: everyone deserves a diploma, wherever they start from.
Our founder
Dr. Stéphène Lorémy was born in rural Haiti, far from any school. As a child he walked four hours a day to reach a classroom, and he never forgot what that distance cost the children who could not make the trip.
He believes that proper education is the foundation of lifelong success and that every person should be able to pursue knowledge, whatever their age, circumstances or starting point. Dreamlight High School was founded to remove the distance: a fully online school where the classroom comes to the student.
