Credit recovery is a process that allows students to retake or make up missed coursework/credits to recover credits that were previously failed or not completed. This can be due to various reasons such as poor grades, absences, transferring schools, or dropping out. Credit recovery programs at Dreamlight High School provide students with a second chance to earn the credits they need to the next level. In addition, credit recovery programs enhance students to earn the credits they need to graduate, often through online courses, and independent study without pressure.

Target Audience

  • Middle school students (6-8) who need to recover credits in core subjects.
  • High school students (9-12) who need to recover credits to meet graduation requirements. We strive for Excellence to serve any students whether you are enrolled as Dreamlight High School students or you’re an outside students; our goal is to help all students in need to further their education.

Requirement to receive a diploma from recovery credit program

  1. Students must complete some required coursework.
  2. Fulfill credit requirements in core subjects like English, math, science, and social studies.
  3. Student must complete 6 credits with Dreamlight High School.
  4. Attend school discussions regularly and meet attendance standards.
  5. Pass required final assessment.
  6. Meet GPA requirements and avoid excessive failing grades.
